Here's why Dam-Funk is awesome (besides the obvious stuff, like he's really talented and has enough good vibes for like 99.9% of the world to be happy just by thinking about his existence): he's made a song that channels the last 30-or-so years of California music, but still sounds insanely current. On the video end of things, this seems to be a kind of day in the life, featuring Dam going about his business—which mainly consists of having breakfast in a sunny diner, giving out ice cream in the sun, wandering around in the sun and then getting really sweaty while performing in a packed club. If we could, we'd be doing the exact same thing, minus the performing part because that seems daunting.
