Max Minelli has the most regular-guy style of any Baton Rouge rapper I can remember. Last year's California Dreams tape was indebted to the West Coast, and his earlier Backpack Dreams & Hip Hop Wishes looked to New York. His newest project, Lunch Money, returns the rapper to the south, but unlike fellow Baton Rouge residents Lil Boosie, Webbie and Kevin Gates, Minelli's rap style has a clear, plainspoken quality, seemingly less affected by regional slur.
