In June, 2015 YG was shot in a California recording studio. Speaking to The FADER last summer, YG wouldn't go into heavy specifics on the shooting but said, “We ain’t gon’ speak on ‘em, we ain’t go give ‘em no fame. I ain’t gon’ shed no light on they careers, or they life, or whatever the fuck they doing. I feel like this: Los Angeles County is sick right now. It’s bad. Everybody mad out here right now."
In the above clip from an upcoming VICELAND documentary, NOISEY Presents: YG and the Therapist, he goes into great detail while speaking with a therapist about just what went down that evening and the paranoia the event has brought on. He tells the therapist "I'm on my 'don't trust nobody campaign.'"
