Here’s Everything That Anxious Frank Ocean Fans Need To Know About His Next Album
While confirmed details of the project are scarce, a rep for Ocean tells The FADER, “Nothing to offer at this time”
One of this year's most eagerly awaited releases is Frank Ocean's follow up to his 2012 major label debut Channel Orange. Ocean announced in April on his Tumblr that his album would be coming out in July, along with a magazine called Boys Don't Cry, and further information about the album has been very scarce.
Fans have been hysterical for the last 20 days of this month, creating a flurry of memes while waiting for a Beyoncé-like release to materialize out of thin air:
Despite the intense fan reaction, there has been no word yet from Ocean's camp on any details about the project. There was a brief frenzy today when an image appeared from Tumblr that appeared to be the album's cover. It turned out to be fake, Complex quickly pointed out that the photo in question was a photoshopped image of a 2012 portrait of Ocean by the photographer NABIL.
When asked for comment about the album’s release date or any alleged cover art, a rep for Ocean replied "Nothing to offer at this time."
