Paul Oakenfold Is Co-Producing An Electronic Music Awards Show

In her superb shade of Stacy Dash, Gabrielle Union made a salient point: “If you don't see yourself reflected in mainstream awards, you tend to create your own.” So it makes sense that, as Pitchfork points out, DJ Paul Oakenfold and TV4 Entertainment have started the Electronic Music Awards & Arts Foundation, with an awards show called the Electronic Music Awards to be aired on April 23 at 8PM EST on Fox. Oakenfold will co-produce the show.

On their website, the Foundation describes their mission as “...dedicated to help change the lives of young people in need and shine a light on the next generation of talented DJs, artists, and producers ready to break the mold in electronic music.”
