Kanye West Says He’s Releasing A New Album This Summer
Update: The President of The Recording Academy responds to Kanye’s tweets about the Grammys.
"I feel the Grammy awarding system is way off and completely out of touch," Kanye West said today on Twitter. "I know so many cool artists whose hearts have been broken by the politics including mine," he continued. "We need to fix this."
In particular, Kanye hopes to see Future, Young Thug, and ASAP Rocky' video director Dexter Navy given the accolades they deserve. "[The Grammys] are supposed to be all about taste," the rapper noted. "You like your black people a certain way also. You wouldn't have Future perform and that man owned the clubs last summer. Has anyone at the Grammys ever heard March Madness?"
He then took a sudden turn and announced, "New album coming this summer."
Representatives for Kanye and the Recording Academy were not immediately available for comment. Read his tweets below.
