Brooklyn Borough President To Host Prince Tribute This Friday
In Fort Greene park.
Celebrations of Prince's legacy continue this week. His old band The Revolution announced a reunion to play some of the classics; last night, D'Angelo honored the star with a touching tribute on network TV. In addition, according to Extra, Prince's old comrade Sheila E. is in charge of putting together an official tribute event.
Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams will also host a Prince-themed event in Fort Green park this Friday. It's a family-friendly affair, starting at the respectable hour of 5 p.m. with three hours of music. At 8, there will be a screening of the movie Purple Rain. Check out the flyer below.
