James Blake Confirms New Album Title With Billboards In London And Brooklyn
The second mural promoting his upcoming album The Colour in Anything appeared today in Brooklyn.
Last week, James Blake posted a photo on Instagram of artist Sir Quentin Blake, who illustrated Roald Dahl's Matilda and James and the Giant Peach, painting a mural in London that hinted at the artwork and name of Blake's upcoming album. The mural bore the words The Colour in Anything. Blake had previously announced that his upcoming album, which he said was finished, would be called Radio Silence.
Today, images of a similar mural in Brooklyn have appeared on social media, Pitchfork points out. Blake has shared three songs in the past few months: "RPG", a collaboration with rapper Trim, "Modern Soul", and "Timeless". See images of the murals in London and Brooklyn below.
