5 Ways Rihanna Will Save Your Summer Style

Badgal doing big tings.

June 01, 2016

At this point it's obvious that Rihanna can do no wrong: her single "Work" helped her surpass The Beatles' Billboard Hot 100 record, the ANTI World Tour has been selling out globally, and shawty can even make a bright green tutu work. Rihanna's status as a trendsetter was solidified when the CFDA honored her with the 2014 Style Icon Award, and she's been making big moves ever since. As of late, Rih has teamed up with major names while simultaneously delivering heat with her preexisting collaborations. Check out the wrap-up below:

1. Collabing with PUMA

Starting with the original release last September, Rihanna's Fenty x Puma label has created three highly-coveted footwear models in a spectrum of colorways. As you've probably noticed, this collab has been boosting our summer wardrobes, first with the release of the luxe Fur Slides, (which premiered on the cover of The Fader's 100th issue), and most recently with the return of the fan-favorite Creepers.

2. Playing footsie with Stance

Rih's partnership with Stance, the luxury sock brand, is not something you should sleep on. Aside from it being the cheapest way to get a lil piece of the badgal, the summer '16 Fenty for Stance collection is fire. The new pieces are stacked with varsity-inspired details, bows, and pastel colors, embodying the concept Rihanna described as "baby-doll/tomboy sport." Stance just dropped Rih's "Look Back At It" style, shown below, so pick up a pair here, before they fly off the shelf.

3. Throwing shade with Dior

The latest project this singer-turned-designer has revealed to the public is her badass sunglasses collection with Dior. The futuristic sunnies, naturally dubbed the "Rihanna," are set to release sometime in June at Dior shops exclusively. According to WWD, The glasses will be sold in pink, red, blue, and green at a $840 price point, however, a 24-karat gold style will go for $1,950. Stay posted on the Dior Instagram for more detailed updates on the release.

4. Tip-toeing in her Blahniks

Rihanna's collaboration with Manolo Blahnik confirmed that shoes, of any kind, are something she does very well. The spring "Denim Dessert" collection consisted of four styles, deliciously decked out in denim, and ornate crystal, bead, and sequin embellishments. The show stopper of this partnership was the "9 to 5," a stiletto-heeled, pointed toe boot that reaches all the way up the thigh and fastens around the waist as a belt. In a press release, Rih deemed the killer design to be "dangerous" and warned "If you’re trying to get back home to your bed, don’t wear them boots!"

5. Selling ill ANTI-Tour merch

When Rihanna tells you she's a savage she is not kidding; and her ANTI tour merch backs her up. The first is a tee that reads "most likely to not give a fuck," while the other is a hoodie with a giant hand flipping you off displayed on the back. Nonetheless, she also offers some less explosive apparel, one of the coolest pieces being the ANTI trench, offered in black and transparent versions.
