Yasiin Bey, f.k.a. Mos Def, is still stuck in South Africa while he deals with charges that he allegedly tried to travel out of the country on a fake passport once his visa had expired. Recently, BADBADNOTGOOD, who just released their fourth studio album IV this week, headed to Cape Town, South Africa to play a set at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival. According to 10and5, a representative for Bey contacted the band to see if they would be interested in backing the rapper for a short set. "The rehearsals were magical, we really connected musically which is difficult sometimes after first meeting someone,” BADBADNOTGOOD explained to 10and5.
