Listen To MGMT’s Cover Of “Goodbye Darling” By Alan Vega Of Suicide

Alan Vega of the pioneering punk group Suicide passed away last weekend, and today MGMT, one of the countless bands influenced by Vega's music, released a cover of Vega's solo track "Goodbye Darling" as a tribute to the icon. The bittersweet themes of the song are heightened by the circumstances of the cover's release, but MGMT quite rightly refuse to make such a jubilant song the least bit morose. It's a celebration of life with scratchy synths and singalongs. Listen below.
