Lil Wayne Voices Support For Hillary Clinton: “I Hear Ya Out There”
Update: Wayne is happy about the idea that Clinton may have referred to him in her acceptance speech.
Lil Wayne has shared his choice in the 2016 presidential election. No, it's not the Green Party's Dr. Jill Stein, it's Hillary Clinton, who accepted the Democratic nomination for president last night. "Go Hillary! I hear ya out there," the rapper tweeted this afternoon. Wayne's not the first rapper to endorse Clinton: RZA previously voiced his support, and Snoop Dogg performed at the Democratic National Convention. A rep for Lil Wayne did not immediately return a request for comment.
Update: July 29, 1:42 p.m.: Wayne's tweet may have been referring to the claim that Clinton interpolated some of his catalogue into her acceptance speech: "When there's no ceilings, the sky's the limit," she said. Wayne has a mixtape series called No Ceilings, and has released a song called "The Sky Is The Limit." on Da Drought 3.
In an interview with TMZ, Wayne seemed excited by the prospect, saying "I fucks with Hillary." Watch that below.
