Frank Ocean Has A Tom Sachs Installation In His Video Art Project
The Sachs piece is a wall of speakers.
On early Monday morning, Frank Ocean began showing a video stream on his website boysdontcry.co. At certain points, there is a video of a man working at a wood bench, but at other points, the angle of the camera changes to include the bench and a Tom Sach art installation titled Toyan's, which was first noted by Pigeons & Planes. This gives a suggestion that the video stream was actually recorded some time ago. Sach's installation is currently housed at The Brooklyn Museum in the Boombox Retrospective 1999–2015 and will be there until August 14. Francisco Soriano, a director and photographer who has worked with Ocean before, took credit for the video project on Instagram on Monday.
Representatives for Sachs and Soriano did not immediately return a request for comment.
