With a shovel and a map and a baseball cap/ I'll be there/ hear me knocking at your door, begins the triumphant "Horseless Coach," the first single from Canadian three-piece Diamond Mind's new album, Heavy Metal Sunshine. Spooky brass and strings lead the way, as a mystery from the 1940s desert unfolds.

"This song is largely inspired by the life of Frankie Dwyer Rowe and her experiences as a child in Roswell, New Mexico during the summer of 1947," the group's Liam Trimble told The FADER over email. "She and her father, the city’s fire marshall, unwittingly became key figures in a deep and enduring mystery when a fire in the sky, four mysterious corpses, and a fistful of memory metal attract the unfriendly attention of an austere and uncompromising authority. 'Horseless Coach' is a retelling of a chase from city to city, and across vast deserts, of a wild and unearthly drama." Listen below.
