Willow And Jaden Smith Discuss The Future Of The World With Pharrell
The siblings talk about their inspirations, unique senses of style, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer with the producer for Interview magazine.
Renaissance teens Willow and Jaden Smith recently sat down with Pharrell Williams for an in-depth discussion for Interview magazine's September issue. The Smith's talked to the producer about their opinions on social media stardom, their inspiring parents, and changing the world.
The siblings opened up the discussion by telling Pharrell about social media's powers for both good and evil. "I know so many kids who literally are, like, Instagram-famous. They have done nothing but post pictures on Instagram. And they have followings," Willow said. "And then there's people, like me and Jaden, who want to utilize social media to elevate the consciousness of those people who feel like all they want from social media is to be famous."
Jaden and Willow also discuss the genesis of their unique fashion senses. "When we were younger ...We would wear the craziest things," Willow told Pharrell. "Jaden would only wear his Spider-Man costume. I would freaking mismatch every single shirt and pants in my closet. We would just be so rambunctious with our clothing choices."
As for where they see themselves in ten years, Jaden responded, "Gone," while Willow said she would be "in the mountains somewhere in a tent cooking a squirrel."
