Report: Live Nation Sued By Two Fans “Trampled” During T.I. Concert Shooting
The incident dates back to Irving Plaza show in May.
T.I.'s New York concert in May was marred by a shooting in which one person was killed and another three were injured. Troy Ave was arrested and subsequently indicted for attempted murder in the wake of the incident. Yesterday, September 21, it was reported that two fans present on the night of the Irving Plaza show are now taking legal action against promoters Live Nation, plus the venue, over a perceived lack of security.
TMZ reports that attorney Vincent Provenzano claims his two clients were “trampled” as people rushed for the exits as gunshots were fired. They're seeking unspecified damages for an incident they claim saw them suffer serious physical injuries and “mental anguish." Provenzano told TMZ that the fact guns were present at Irving Plaza is proof that the venue did not provide adequate security. Separately, Troy Ave is also suing the company and the venue it operates in relation to the shooting.
