Sales Of Skepta’s Konnichiwa Have Gone Up 226% Since His Mercury Prize Win

One week on from the 2016 Mercury Prize ceremony, Skepta is reaping the benefits of his win. Data obtained from the U.K.'s Official Charts Company shows that sales of the grime MC's award winning Konnichiwa have increased by a huge 226% in the last seven days, a surge that should see the album re-enter the Official U.K. Album Chart when it is announced later today.

David Bowie, Michael Kiwanuka, Radiohead, Kano, and The 1975 also saw significant sales lifts for their Mercury Prize shortlisted albums with Bowie's Blackstar seeing a 92% increase.
