Report: Kanye West Has Been Hospitalized “For His Own Health And Safety”
The news comes after canceling his remaining Saint Pablo Tour dates on Monday.
Kanye West has been hospitalized and is under observation a Los Angeles hospital, according to reports from NBC News and TMZ.
The NBC report cites "a source familiar with the case," noting that Los Angeles police responded to a medical welfare call at approximately 1:20 PT today. West was apparently hospitalized "for his own health and safety," according to the same source.
Earlier on Monday, a rep for West confirmed an announcement that he has cancelled the remaining dates on his Saint Pablo Tour. The cancellation and subsequent hospitalization come in the wake of a series of controversial performances in San Jose and Sacramento, in which West stated he would have voted for president-elect Donald Trump and addressed conflicts with Jay Z and Beyoncé.
A representative for West did not immediately respond to The FADER's request for comment.
