Desiigner Has Been Cleared Of All Remaining Charges In New York Drug And Gun Arrest
The Brooklyn rapper still faced misdemeanor charges of menacing and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Desiigner has reportedly been cleared of all charges related to his September arrest on drug and gun charges, according to Billboard.
The Brooklyn rapper and each of his three co-defendants have all been cleared, having accepted adjournments in contemplation of dismissal, or a negotiated settlement that can result in a case being sealed or dismissed.
Desiigner, whose real name is Sidney Selby III, was arrested in September after an alleged "road rage incident," and charged with a weapons charge, plus felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and menacing.
After finding no evidence of a gun, and determining that the only controlled substance in the car was in fact a high-powered steroid (allegedly belonging to Desiigner's driver), the district attorney overseeing the case ultimately dropped both charges. Today, he appears to have been cleared of the remaining charge, menacing, as well.
"We're happy he's been exonerated, and happy with the investigation from the D.A.," said Desiigner's attorney to TMZ following the verdict.
