Lil Yachty Addresses J. Cole’s Alleged Diss in Eyez
Several outlets have read one line in J. Cole’s “Eyez” documentary to be a diss toward Lil Yachty.
Early Friday morning, J. Cole released a short, TIDAL exclusive documentary called Eyez , containing music videos for two new tracks which may show up on his next album 4 Your Eyez Only. One of the tracks, called "Everybody Dies" (the other one is called "False Prophets") has been considered by many outlets to be containing a diss to Lil Yachty or Lil Uzi Vert (or both).
"The OG gate-keep rappers, he would-you-take-a-break-please rappers. Bunch of words and ain’t sayin’ s**t…I hate these rappers. Especially the amateur eight week rappers…Lil’ whatever, just another short bus rapper,” Cole raps.
In a new video, Lil Yachty addressed the possible diss while backstage at Power 106's Cali Christmas 2016. After the host brings up Cole, Lil Yachty laughs but remains respectful and cordial throughout the interview saying, "I fuck with J. Cole. I don't listen to J. Cole but I fuck with J. Cole," and questions if Cole was even talking about him: "It's a lot of Lil' rappers."
