Syd Says Her Solo Album Will Sound “A Lot More Mainstream” Than The Internet
The band told Pharrell about upcoming solo projects in their OTHERtone interview.
The Internet are the latest guests to sit down for Pharrell's OTHERtone show on Beats 1 Radio, and though the full episode doesn't air until Sunday, Beats let loose a quick glimpse of the band's interview tonight.
In the clip, much like the band's FADER cover story this Fall, Syd fields a question about several members' plans to record solo material, noting that the projects will give them each the opportunity to try out "stuff that wouldn't really make sense" in a group context.
"My solo album's probably a lot more mainstream," said Syd of her own forthcoming solo project. Specifically, she said to expect "no live drums" and songs that sound "like something you might hear on the radio...more so than Ego Death." Watch the full clip below.
