Kendrick Lamar Set To Debut At No. 1 With DAMN.
It would be Lamar’s third consecutive chart-topping record.
Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. is on course for a chart-topping week. Industry forecasters, via Billboard, report that the album could earn around 475,000 equivalent album units in the week ending April 20.
If DAMN. sells as well as predicted, it will earn the second largest weekly sales of 2017, second only to Drake’s More Life, which launched with 505,000 units in March. The album would also be Lamar's third consecutive number one, after last year’s untitled unmastered. (178,000 units in its first week) and 2015’s To Pimp A Butterfly (363,000 units).
