Abra Cadabra Is On Top Of The World In His New Video
“Stay” is another banger from the rising London MC.
In just under 12 months north London MC Abra Cadabra has made his presence known. He earned a MOBO for 2016 breakout "Robbery (Remix)" and has gone on to collaborate with artists such as Stefflon Don, Lethal Bizzle, and Belly Squad.
Today, June 20, he drops his new visual, “Stay,” which you can see above. The rapper is seen cruising around his neighborhood of Tottenham in a drop-top Jeep with his crew in the video. His deep, smooth voice and the track’s slow-burning trap instrumental combine perfectly as he raps, "I ain't playin' no games, no way, cos I've been trappin' for the money all day." Later, he takes the party atmosphere to a dimly-lit club and pops bottles and flexes with his team, including north London singer Danzey.
Speaking to The FADER via email, Abra Cadabra said: "The tune ["Stay"] is just a vibe. As soon as I heard the beat I knew it was wavey and would be a banger. I wanted the video to represent the sound of the song, to show my area where I grew up, and just to have a laugh."
