Arrests Made Following Shooting At Little Rock Nightclub
Rapper Finese 2Tymes and Kentrell Gwynn have both been arrested on unrelated charges. No arrests have been in made in the nightclub shooting.
Two arrests have been made following a shooting that left 28 people injured at a rap show in Little Rock in the early hours of Saturday. However, no arrests have been made by police investigating the shooting itself.
Rapper Finese 2Tymes, who was performing at the Ultra Power Lounge when the shooting took place, was arrested on unrelated charges on July 1. Billboard reports he was arrested before a scheduled appearance at the Side Effects club in Birmingham, Alabama.
Real name Ricky Hampton, the 25-year-old musician was arrested on outstanding charges of aggravated assault with a gun out of Forrest City in eastern Arkansas, the U.S. Marshals Service said. He was arrested alongside Kentrell Gwynn, whose charges remain unconfirmed. Hampton remains a person of interest in the investigation.
No arrests have been in made in the nightclub shooting, according to a police statement. Police have said they believe the shooting stemmed from a dispute in the crowd and may be gang-related.
25 people suffered gunshot wounds in the shooting, with three others reporting separate injuries. The victims range from ages 16 to 35. Little Rock Police Chief Kenton Buckner told reporters "multiple people" were suspected of carrying out the shooting, which he added appears to be connected to an ongoing dispute between local gangs.
