Watch The Video For Kesha’s New Single “Praying”
The returning pop star will release new album Rainbow on August 11.
Kesha has shared the video for hew new single "Praying." The track is Kesha's first solo single since 2013 and the first to be taken from new album Rainbow, due August 11.
"Praying" was recorded with regular Macklemore collaborator, Ryan Lewis. Kesha penned a personal essay for Lena Dunham's Lenny Letter to accompany the launch of the single.
Rainbow will be released next month via Kemosabe Records/ RCA Records. Collaborators on the record include Eagles of Death Metal and Dolly Parton. Check out the album artwork below.
Ben Folds produced the Rainbow. title track with Kesha. Parton, meanwhile, guests on a version of her 1980 No. 1 single "Old Flames.” Kesha's mother, Pebe Sebert, has multiple songwriting credits on Rainbow.
Since 2014, Kesha has been fighting a legal battle against producer Lukasz Gottwald a.k.a. Dr. Luke, who she's accusing of sexual assault, and physical and emotional abuse when they worked together. Most recently, Dr. Luke dropped a lawsuit against Kesha's mom. His contract with Kemosabe/RCA expired in March 2017.
