Suspect Arrested For Threatening To Attack Ariana Grande Concert In Costa Rica
The Alajuela concert proceeded as scheduled.
A 22-year-old Colombian man was arrested on Monday for threatening to attack Ariana Grande's Alajuela, Costa Rica concert, the Associated Press reports.
Costa Rican authorities released a statement saying that the man made threats online. Walter Espinoza, the head investigator on the case, told Costa Rican media outlets that the threats were written in Arabic and that the man's family names were Caicedo Lopez.
The concert in Alajuela went on as scheduled Sunday night.
The threat comes after the bombing of Grande's Manchester concert in May, which killed 22 people and left dozens injured. In the wake of the attack, Grande held a benefit concert which raised over $3 million for the victims of the attack.
