Flesh World Debuts A Video For “Into The Shroud,” Their New Record’s Title Track
The San Francisco dream-punk band’s new full-length drops September 8.
On September 8, the underrated punk band Flesh World will release Into The Shroud, their second full-length. Its title track, debuting above, is a chug-paced blur of gang vocals and melodic dread. It also comes with a charmingly handmade-feeling video, which was directed by Andy Jordan, edited by Martha Orchard, and filmed in the group's hometown of San Francisco.
"[The video] was shot just a few-minute walk from the Pacific Ocean, outside of bassist Andrew Luttrell's two-car garage," Flesh World explained in an email to The FADER. "We attempted to transform the rush of a motorcycle ride into a suspended, loitering spiral of skulking boys on a Honda bike. This, combined with the overlay of painted images [by singer Jess Scott] both figuratively and literally reflect the song's tale of traveling through the imminent hum of an anxious experience."
Into The Shroud is out September 8 on Dark Entries.
