Chance The Rapper’s Security Guard Reportedly Arrested For Battery In Chicago

According to TMZ, Chance The Rapper's security guard Star Thomas was arrested for battery following an altercation at Chicago’s W Hotel last week.

The alleged victim had attempted to get into an elevator with Chance and his team two hours prior to the incident. Thomas reportedly “body slammed” the man when they encountered him later in the hotel lobby.

As Pitchfork points out, Chicago Police Department records confirm Thomas's arrested on Friday. He was released the same day on $1,500 bond.

A representative for Chance The Rapper was not immediately available for comment.
