Small Circle Annouces Debut Full-Length With "Spinning”

The Philly band features members of Sorority Noise.

August 07, 2017

Sorority Noise frontman Cam Boucher recruited two of his band members, bassist Adam Ackerman and drummer Charlie Singer, to back up singer Marissa D'elia in a new band named Small Circle. They made an EP called Melatonin in May, and now the four-piece is releasing a full-length. It's called Cyclical and comes out September 8 on Flower Girl Records.

Today, Small Circle is sharing that record's first single, "Spinning." It's an earnest, riff-stacked reflection on emotional labor, and features Boucher's vocals intwined with D'elia's. "[The track] is about not being met with the same emotional effort you’re putting into a friendship/relationship yet still providing it against better judgement," D'elia wrote in an email to The FADER. "Both verses come together to form this perfect juxtaposition of feeling exhausted, but wanting to see that pain through." Listen below.
