Kesha Debuts At No. 1 With Rainbow
The pop singer secured the second chart topping album of her career.
Kesha secured the second No. 1 album of her career with new album Rainbow debuting at the top of the Billboard 200 chart. The album earned 116,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Aug. 17, according to Billboard. 89,000 of those sales were in traditional albums with the the rest made up by streaming figures.
Rainbow is the second No. 1 album of Kesha's career. Her debut album, Animal, opened at No. 1 in January of 2010.
Elsewhere on the Billboard 200, Kendrick Lamar slips from last week's top spot to No. 2. DJ Khaled and R&B singer Khalid sit at numbers 3 and 4 respectively while No. 5 belongs to Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo with his new release, Federal 3X.
