Hear Say Sue Me’s Restorative Beach-Rock Song “Good For Some Reason”
Busan’s cutest.
Say Sue Me is a super adorable band that makes sunny lo-fi rock songs out of Busan, South Korea. Before releasing their sophomore album next year, they're dropping a single with London label Damnably Records and Korea's Electric Muse for the labels' respective 11th and 10th birthdays. Premiering today on The FADER, that song is called "Good For Some Reason,"a sweet-sounding tune about staying upbeat even when you're feeling down on yourself.
"It's the first song we worked together on with our new drummer, Chang Won," lead singer Sumi Choi wrote to The FADER via email. "I was struggling with some pessimistic thinking, which is a habit of mine, and I asked nobody in particular 'Why am I doing this?' He told me, 'Because it's the easiest thing to do.' For some reason that answer hurt my pride a little bit and I decided I didn't want to be so negative anymore. Now whenever I feel sad, I make myself believe that things will get better somehow."
