Dev Hynes says the next Blood Orange album is “78% done.”

During an interview with Hua Hsu during the New Yorker Fest, Dev Hynes revealed that the next Blood Orange album is "78 percent done."

Throughout the course of the panel Hynes revealed that the next album will center around his childhood in Essex County, outside of London. In Hynes' recollection Essex County was a difficult place for the child of African immigrants to grow up.

“This one is definitely me looking at my younger self, growing up in that settings" said Hynes. "So yeah, it’s a little dark.” He further detailed the political climate of his childhood was one where elected officials wanted to "Keep Britain White."
