Yams Day tribute concert ends early following “crowd control situation”
Social media reports show a violent brawl during A$AP Rocky’s set.
This year's Yams Day concert came to an abrupt end on Thursday night when a fight broke out during A$AP Rocky's headline set. NYPD confirmed to NY Daily News that a "crowd control situation" was the reason for the January 18 show ending. There are currently no reports of any injuries.
Social media footage shows a fight which broke out backstage. There were also rumors of gunshots but those have been denied by the NYPD.
Yams Day is an annual event to honor the memory of the late A$AP Yams, who died of an accidental overdose in 2015.
The 2018 event features performances from Rocky plus Lil Yachty, Playboi Carti, French Montana, Flatbush Zombies, Nav, G Perico, and Teka$hi 6ix9ine.
