Sufjan Stevens will be decked out in Gucci at the Oscars
Start cleaning out those tear ducts.
In case there was any doubt about the elusive Sufjan Stevens making an appearance at this year's Oscar ceremony, fear not: Stevens has confirmed that he will, indeed, be in attendance. What's more, he'll be decked out in Gucci. The Brooklyn-based artist, who is nominated for penning and performing "Mystery of Love" for the Call Me By Your Name soundtrack, had previously stated that he would only attend the ceremony if he found something to wear.
In a new interview with the New York Times, Stevens divulged that CMBYN director Luca Guadagnino, who lives near Milan and is tight with Gucci, hooked up the connection. After his first initial screening of the film, Stevens told Vulture that he had asked Guadagnino for the Gucci coat off his back, and that he kindly obliged. Unfortunately, Best Song nominees typically perform the song they're nominated for, so we'll have to hold off on any dreams of a Lil Pump cover...for now, at least.
