Juelz Santana pleaded not guilty to drug and gun charges in court on Wednesday, Billboard reports. The charges relate to a recent incident at Newark Liberty International Airport.
Santana faces two state weapons charges and a drug possession charge. Authorities stated that an airport security personnel found a loaded .38-caliber handgun and oxycodone pills he didn't have a prescription for in a carry-on bag on Friday, March 9.
It is reported he fled the scene and turned himself in on March 12. Santana also faces federal charges stemming from the same incident and is being jailed while the case proceeds. His next court hearing is scheduled for April 9.
A rep for Juelz Santana did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
