Cardi B says her feud with Nicki Minaj is “internet made-up”
“I don’t really have the time for that.”
Cardi B sat down with Ebro of Beats 1 for a poolside interview ahead of her debut album Invasion of Privacy, out Friday. When asked about her supposed beef with Nicki MInaj, Cardi confirmed that the supposed feud is "internet made-up," and not something she's interested in.
"I don't really have the time for that," she told Ebro. "It's like, if you ain't fucking my man, or if you not taking my money from me, or if you not stop my money then I don't really give a fuck about you."
Cardi also acknowledged that she felt pressure from fans and critics to get involved in the supposed beef, noting that she understands how much entertainment can be drawn from a feud. But she maintains that she has nothing but respect for Nicki, noting that their lack of a joint appearance in their video for "Motorsport" was just a scheduling issue.
"Y'all want me to say something bad," she said of the critics. "Y'all want to annoy me to the fact that I say something bad...I'm not falling for that."
