Janet Jackson took the stage at the Billboard Music Awards to perform in honor of her receiving the 2018 Icon Award. It was Jackson's first televised performance in nine years. Decked out in all gold, she performed a medley of some of her greatest hits. Bruno Mars made a surprise appearance to present Jackson with her award.
