A new Clipse song is reportedly “ready and loaded in the chamber”

Clipse, the Virginia rap duo of Pusha-T and Malice, has remained dormant since the release of Til The Casket Drops in 2009. The prospect of the drug rap act reuniting seemed distant after Malice converted to Christianity and changed his rap alias to No Malice, and Pusha went on to solo success at G.O.O.D. Music. But both rappers have suggested in the past that new music is possible, and it might actually be imminent: on Friday, producers J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League tweeted that Clipse are ready to return. "New Clipse song, ready and loaded in the chamber," the duo tweeted.

The prospect of a new Clipse song is especially exciting given the current beef between Drake and Pusha-T. After Pusha referenced Drake's ghostwriting scandal with lyrics on his DAYTONA track "Infrared," Drake fired back with "Duppy Freestyle," and brought No Malice into his lyrics to question Pusha-T's authenticity as a drug dealer. Pusha did not address these allegations on his follow-up track "The Story of Adondis," and No Malice seemed content to watch the conflict unfold, saying in a livestream that it was "good for hip-hop." But if the song was recorded recently, there's a chance No Malice may stand up for his brother in his verses. As far as comebacks go, it's fitting for one of the most iconic '00s hip-hop groups.
