Kanye West on Drake: “It ain’t no beef... We all got love for Drake.”
West’s comments came during an interview with Chicago radio station 107.5 WGCI.
Kanye West stopped by local Chicago radio station 107.5 WCGI on Wednesday for an interview. During the conversation, West cleared the air about his rumored beef with Drake, ultimately saying that there is no problems between the two, as Pitchfork notes.
Before clarifying, Kanye first spoke on the recent tension between him and Drake, mentioning that it hit him "in a really sensitive place." The Chicago native then elaborated, saying, "You, like, hang around people and they come to your house and be around your family and this and that, and then they get mad about a beat and then send you purple demon emojis.”
'Ye concluded by saying that there isn't any beef, and that the he and Drake must reconcile and work with with one another. “It ain’t no beef... We all got love for Drake," Kanye said. "We understand that he got upset about [Pusha-T’s diss track, “The Story of Adidon”]. I feel that it was insensitive for [Drake] to, in any way, stress me out in any way after TMZ, while I’m in Wyoming healing, pulling all the pieces together, working on my music. And you know, we’ll reconcile that one day because we got to, because we got work to do, and these voices is just too powerful.”
Also during the interview, Kanye teared up while speaking on longtime friend and fashion designer Don C, apologized for his slavery comments, and finally answered Kimmel's Trump question that he was unable to during their interview.
