Charli XCX and Troye Sivan announce new duet “1999”
Matrix ’fit on 100000.
Troye Sivan and Charli XCX have announced a new collaboration out this Friday. Sivan shared the track's title — "1999," and a bright green, Matrix-themed artwork after a brief twitter exchange teasing the announcement with Charli on Monday afternoon.
The song's artwork sees Sivan donning a pair dark shades, a shiny dark overcoat, and jet black hair — a nod to Matrix main character Neo, while Charli appears alongside him as Trinity, decked out in a similar 'fit.
"1999" will be Sivan's first drop since releasing his sophomore effort Bloom late in August. Last week, Charli XCX's 2018 single "Focus" was the subject of an electro-remix by Yaeji.
