Mac Miller’s cause of death has been revealed
The 26-year-old rapper was killed by lethal combination of cocaine, fentanyl, and alcohol.
Mac Miller's death on September 7 was caused by an accidental overdose of cocaine, alcohol, and fentanyl, according to a report from the Los Angeles Coroner's Office obtained by TMZ and US Weekly.
The news comes the week after "Mac Miller: A Celebration Of Life," a tribute concert for the 26-year-old rapper. Artists like Travis Scott, Chance The Rapper, Thundercat, Ty Dolla $ign, Anderson .Paak, Vince Staples, and John Mayer all made appearances. Money raised through the concert benefitted the Mac Miller Circles Fund, an arts and youth organization in Pittsburgh.
Following his death, artists like Post Malone, The Internet, and Miller's former girlfriend Ariana Grande paid tribute. Grande references Miller and his passing in her new song "thank u, next": "Wish I could say thank you to Malcolm / 'Cause he was an angel."
