Gucci Mane says he and Waka Flocka have squashed the beef
“Everything’s in the past now.”
On Thursday, Gucci Mane stopped by Streetz 94.5 in Atlanta for a radio interview and revealed that he had settled his differences with collaborator-turned-nemesis Waka Flocka Flame.
The reconciliation comes after Waka posted an Instagram video in November asking Gucci Mane to get in touch and work things out. "We spoke one time after that, I reached out to him," Gucci tells the station. When asked if he and Waka are "cool" again, Gucci responds affirmatively. "We had a conversation. Everything's in the past now."
Waka Flocka Flame and Gucci Mane were two of Atlanta trap music's flagship artists in the mid '00s. Waka was signed to Gucci's 1017 Bricksquad label, and the two worked on music frequently, including for an album titled Ferrari Boyz. Tensions between the two rappers first emerged in 2010, and years later the relationship had apparently dissolved with no public reason given. Eventually, Waka explained that business dealings had caused the falling out.
Gucci Mane released his latest album Evil Genius last week. Below, watch the video for "Ferrari Boyz" by Ferrari Boyz from the album Ferrari Boyz.
