All songs on Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy are now certified gold or higher
She is the first woman artist to do so.
Cardi B's record-breaking year in music has just reached another milestone: all 13 tracks on her debut album Invasion of Privacy are now RIAA certified gold or higher, Forbes points out.
This makes Cardi the first artist who is a woman — and one of the first artists in the digital era — to achieve the feat, joining Kendrick Lamar's DAMN., and Twenty-One Pilots's Blurryface.
Cardi's breakout debut — which was released back in April — went gold upon its release, and boasts two Billboard Hot 100 #1's in "Bodak Yellow" and "I Like It" (which features Bad Bunny and J Balvin). "Bodak Yellow," the album's standout smash hit, has been certified a staggering seven-times platinum.
Elsewhere this year, Cardi went #1 for a third time, featuring on Maroon 5's "Girls Like You." This further extended her record as the first woman artist with more than one chart-topping single. The "Money" rapper is also nominated for five 2019 Grammy awards.
