Nilüfer Yanya’s new video for “In Your Head” is a total Vegas rendezvous
The London up-and-comer has formally announced her debut album Miss Universe.
Nilüfer Yanya has announced that her debut album, titled Miss Universe, is finally on the horizon. The record is out in full on March 22, but ahead of that, Yanya is offering a bit of what to expect with a ridiculously catchy new single "In Your Head" that's equal parts neurotic, self assured and headbang inducing. Accompanying the track is an eye popping Vegas rendezvous of a music video, directed by ENERGYFORCE.
"Sometimes my mind plays tricks on me and I get trapped. There’s the things I need disguised as things I think I only want, things I think I’m choosing out of choice not necessity," said Yanya in a press release. "Sometimes this only becomes clear in retrospect, or maybe it will never become clear. Some people may call that being paranoid. I think that’s what I wrote the song about , but what’s interesting to me, and what I think I was trying to get at, is the illusion of freedom.”
