Cardi B is reportedly trademarking “okurrr”
Also, “okurr.”
Cardi B has filed a request with the United States Patent and Trademark Office to trademark her signature catchphrase "okurrr," Page Six reports. According to the paperwork, Becalis has plans to use the phrase on a wide range of upcoming merchandise, including clothes, posters and even paper cups. On top of "okurrr," she also filed a trademark request for alternate spelling "okurr."
Most recently, Cardi plugged the phrase when she cameoed in a (bizarre) Pepsi commercial starring Steve Carrell and Lil Jon that aired during the Super Bowl. During her Tonight Show co-hosting gig, she explained the phrase has differing meanings, from "checking somebody" to evoking "a cold pigeon in New York City."
