Horse Jumper of Love’s new “Poison” video is a master class in pizza making

Hear the woozy lead single off the Boston trio’s new album So Divine.

As Horse Jumper of Love, Dimitri Giannopoulos, John Margaris and Jamie Vadala-Doran stitch together inquisitive and gripping slowcore out of everyday passing moments. The Boston trio are currently readying their sophomore album, So Divine, out June 28 via Run For Cover. Today, they're sharing hypnotic lead single "Poison," a song magnifying the slow drip of repetitions that build a lifetime.

Speaking with The FADER, Giannopoulos explained the personal ties behind the Ty Ueda-directed video.

"“Poison’ highlights themes of domesticity, learning through nostalgia, and capturing even the most mundane memories. I started working on this song about 4 years ago, and have been waiting to release it for a while. We shot the video in my Dad’s pizza shop in Boston - a very important place to me, a place that taught me how to work. Ty captured this feeling exactly how I envisioned. Work as a repetitive movement - just like the guitar part in the song."
