Steve Lacy’s debut album is dropping May 24
Steve Lacy fans are eating good this month.
Yesterday, Steve Lacy covered i-D magazine. In the interview, Lacy confirmed that, yes, he's got an album on the way. Now, he's given the project a date: it's out May 24. Details on the project are still pretty scarce, but the second track is reportedly a nine-minute opus: “It’s basically my journey, my sexuality. But in a very fun and witty way, it’s not really that serious, it’s not super sad. I think it’s my journey, it’s an expression of how I feel right now.”
Last month, Lacy dropped the LP's lead single, "N Side." He also appeared on two tracks on bandmate Matt Martian's new album The Last Party, as well as two tracks on Vampire Weekend's Father of the Bride, which released today.
