21 Savage announces tour with DaBaby
The I AM > I WAS tour kicks off in July.
21 Savage is heading on a summer tour of the United States. The I AM > I WAS tour is named after the Atlanta-based rapper's recent, great album, and joining him on the dates is North Carolina's DaBaby. The shows begin on July 10 in Oklahoma City and run till August 16 in Atlanta.
The I AM > I WAS tour is Savage's first since his arrest in February. The rapper was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and accused of being in the United States without documentation. The rapper later confirmed that he was born in the United Kingdom, had entered the United States at age 7, and was living on an expired visa. He was released from the Irwin County Correctional Facility on February 13. In an interview on Good Morning America, Savage said his lawyers believed he was targeted by ICE because of a performance on The Tonight Show where he rapped about immigration.
