Cardi B announces release date of new single “Press,” shares cover art
“Press, press, press, press, Cardi don’t need more press!”
Cardi B has announced that her new single "Press," the follow up to her last solo single "Money," will be out this Friday May 31st. First teased last year through a video of Cardi dancing in a recording studio (and, er, promoting a Fashion Nova dress,) "Press" features the refrain "PRESS / PRESS / PRESS / PRESS / CARDI DON'T NEED MORE PRESS". The producer of the track is not currently known. Cardi announced the song's release on Monday night via Instagram, sharing the song's single artwork and saying "PRESS SINGLE AND OFFICIAL ART WORK DROPS THIS WEEK ON 5/31!!!" Listen to the snippet below and see the song's artwork above:
Cardi's had a prolific 2019, even if she hasn't released a solo single since last year. This year alone the rapper has dropped a "Thotiana" remix, collabs with Offset, DJ Khaled, Bruno Mars and City Girls, and announced that she'll have a new album this year. "Press" is out Friday.
