Beyoncé’s publicist urges the #BeyHive not to “spew hate” online
“It will bring no joy to the person you love so much if you spew hate in her name.”
Beyoncé‘s publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, has spoken out about the behavior of her client's fans just hours after a woman caught in a viral picture with Bey started receiving death threats.
Nicole Curran, wife of Golden State Warrirors owner Joe Lacob, was pictured sitting with Jay Z and Beyoncé during Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night. The image, in which Beyoncé looked a little annoyed, became an instant meme and led to some fans targeting Curran with abuse online.
Shortly after this story was reported Noel-Schure posted an image of Bey and Jay on her Instagram and wrote a caption that both commemorated an anniversary and looked to the future.
“I am looking back today at the start of The OTRII tour, one year ago. It was a place of joy, unimaginable entertainment from two of the best performers in the world, and a place of love,” Noel-Schure wrote. “Every single day on that tour I saw love. Which is why I also want to speak here to the beautiful BeyHive.”
Noel-Schure went on to say that the love fans show for Beyoncé “has to be given to every human.” She continued: “It will bring no joy to the person you love so much if you spew hate in her name."
Speaking to a reporter on Thursday, Curran said she had disabled comments on her Instagram in a bid to stop people sending her abusive messages.
